My first endeavor:

I am first and foremost a classical oboist. My father is a renowned trumpet player and he decends from a long line of fabulous trumpeters (including giving rise to my brother whom also was a great player at one time). I attended arts institutions since I was 14 and have been playing for more than 20 years. My student years were spent at the New World School of the Arts in Miami, Florida and I graduated high school from the Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, MI. I participated in numerous summer music festivals including the Brevard Music Camp, Interlochen Arts Camp, and the Hot Springs Music Festival. I even played a chamber concert with Jella Atema and Bill Simmons as part of the Marine Biological Laboratory's summer chamber concert series when I was an REU intern with Ivan Valiela in Woods Hole! Completing my music education, I received a Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance from Oberlin Conservatory. Furthermore, I have had the incredible good fortune to study with some of our era's foremost oboe players including Kelly Peral, Dan Stolper, and the late James Caldwell. A number of people have asked me about the days when I was playing professionally and so I have posted here a selection of performances from my time in conservatory.

I continue to play and teach oboe. If anyone is interested in chamber music, drop me a line! I am always up for the challenge.

Enjoy!
